Welcome to the Book Kaleidoscope 2012! 2012 is always good to me especially since Mayans were lying I made a book blog, joined Blogger Buku Indonesia, and met some new friends. :))

Have you ever read a book that makes you falling for the character? Well, I have, otherwise, I wouldn't write this post. :D

So, here are my Top Five Book Boyfriends (I even tweeted it so I wouldn't forget.)

5. Simon Marganda from Windry Ramadhina's Memori. (Iya ini dihitung mundur)

Untuk yang ini gak pakai bahasa Inggris. Simon seorang laki-laki yang sinis dan.... yah, dingin. Tapitapi karena kedinginannya(?) itu yang membuatku jatuh dan tak bisa bangkit lagi cinta. #preeeet

Berbeda denganku, Simon justru tidak pernah berubah meski dia pernah hidup bertahun-tahun di Belanda. Dia masih setia dengan kaus gratisan dan jeans belelnya, juga rambut ikal acak-acakan serta jenggot tipis yang menutupi wajahnya yang tampan.

...... oke deh Simon ternyata udah jadi om-om di Memori. #dikeplakmbakWindry

Yang membuatku suka... mungkin setelah membaca adegan ini, ya:

Dia berbicara seraya menatap mataku, 'Aku tidak main-main.' Suaranya pelan, menghindari pengunjung perpustakaan yang lain, namun tegas. 
Kegalauanku sirna seketika. Bagiku, kata-kata Simon sudah cukup. Aku tidak membutuhkan penjelasan lebih.

Jujur, cukup sulit membayangkan orang yang mirip dengan Simon di bayangan saya. Jadi... khusus Simon gak ada fotonya ya? #dikeplak #habisgakadaide #masaRezaRahadianlagi

4. Dexter Jones from Sarah Dessen's This Lullaby

Samaan sama mbak Nana. x)

Umm, no, Dexter is not like Simon. He was not sarcastic like Simon, he was funny instead. The kind of guy who can win a girl with making her laugh. #eaaa What else? He wasn't a Gary-Stu. He was realistic, he understood Remy's fear yet he still wanted her. But then he realized Remy would be better without him. ( '-')/|Dexter|

And he was a vocalist of a band! You can just imagine him singing a lullaby to you, which is what he did to Remy. :'))

I've always imagined Dexter would be like... Alex Turner. From Arctic Monkeys. :))

3. Ed Skye, from Cath Crowley's Graffiti Moon

Sorry, Cricket from Lola and The Boy Next Door, I chose him instead of you.

Ed, Ed, Ed. What should I tell the readers of my blog about you? That you were an artist? That you were Shadow, who always painted in the dark and night, in an illegal way? (This is not a spoiler, by the way.) That your nose was broken by Lucy? =))

Ed had some similarity with Dexter, but Ed was an artist while Dexter was a musician. He seriously could make a girl laugh. And... I honestly don't know what to say about Ed. He was realistic, like Dexter, he was no Gary-Stu, just like Dexter. He wanted to be honest with Lucy, he tried, anyway. He and Lucy looked cute, as you can see from their interactions in the book. ;)

Err I also didn't know who'd suit Ed in my head. But I guess it would be...

Mas ngelihatnya biasa aja, Mas, aye kan jadi grogi dilihatin kayak gitu.

... yes, Tom Sturridge. I know he's like, 27, but he's so damn cute and handsome, isn't he? :))

2. Tobias "Four" Eaton, from Veronica Roth's Insurgent.

Well, anyone who has known me in real life or known me long enough for a year...must've known that I. Could. Not. Stop. Talking. About. Him.

I love Tobias ever since I read Divergent. He was caring, and had 4 fears, and was a good mentor, and smart, and actually kind, and I have to stop talking. Phew.

Oh wait! And you have to read this one:

“What did you do?” I scream.“You die, I die too.” Tobias looks over his shoulder at me.

Okay, there's some news saying that there are 4 actors who are potentially getting the role of Tobias (can't find the source now), and one of them is... Brenton Thwaites.

I love you Brenton Tobias, no matter what Tirta said about your eyebrows.

1. Augustus Waters, from John Green's The Fault in Our Stars.

Predictable, eh? Yep, I chose Gus to be the first of my Top 5 Book Boyfriend BUT I STILL LOVE YOU, TOBIAS, I DIE YOU DIE TOO /siapaeloul/.

"My thoughts are stars I cannot fathom into constellations."

If only there were so many boys like Augustus Waters in this world who could say, "Oh I wouldn't mind, Aul Hazel Grace. It would be a privilege to have my heart broken by you." And they would read our favorite books and fanboy-ing with us.

*sigh*

I really don't have so much words to say to him, except that I want more numbers for Augustus and he gave me forever within numbered days, and I'm grateful. Yes, it was Hazel saying that.

And, like Simon, I really don't have any idea who'll portray Gus in my head. But here, have a video made by Mainstay Pro which previously had made The Hunger Games short movies. (Spoiler if you haven't read TFiOS!)

Now there are my Top Five Book Boyfriends! (I really hope I didn't sound like those TV program which showed us some lists.) What's yours? :)
